Catherine Yates, M.Ed., CCC-SLP

Catherine is a highly skilled speech-language pathologist who specializes in feeding and myofunctional disorders and supports students with childhood apraxia o speech. As a Speech Therapy Advisor, she enjoys assisting school districts in improving their processes, organizational structure, and workflow. She also empowers education professionals to implement the MTSS process effectively to support student success.

Catherine brings over 17 years of experience in speech-language pathology and leadership to the BlazerWorks team. In addition to school-based settings, she also has experience working in a variety of settings including hospitals, private practice, and early intervention. By leveraging her wide range of experience, she ensures that districts and therapists have the tools they need to create optimal communication results for their students.

Catherine earned her Master of Education in Communication Disorders from the University of Virginia and her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Appalachian State University. Catherine holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed through the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
