Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education or a related field
- Valid Virginia State Teaching License with Special Education certification
- Previous experience working as a special education teacher preferred
- Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Ability to create and adapt learning materials for students with diverse needs
- Strong communication skills and a passion for working with students with disabilities
- Ability to work effectively with general education teachers, parents, and support staff
Position Overview:
Soliant Education is currently seeking a compassionate Special Education Teacher to join a supportive school district in Chantilly, VA. In this role, you will be responsible for working with students who have various learning disabilities and helping them access the general education curriculum through individualized instruction, accommodations, and modifications. Your role will be critical in ensuring that students have the support they need to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Plans) tailored to the needs of each student
- Provide differentiated instruction and classroom modifications to support students’ unique learning needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers and staff to ensure inclusion and academic success for all students
- Monitor and assess students’ academic progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student progress and behavior
- Implement behavioral and social-emotional interventions as necessary
- Assist in fostering a positive and inclusive classroom culture
