Soliant Health is actively seeking an experienced Stepdown RN for a 13-week travel contract at Deaconess Midtown in Evansville, Indiana. This position offers an AUTO OFFER for qualified candidates and a great opportunity to work in a dynamic Level II Trauma environment, providing specialized care for a range of conditions while receiving excellent compensation.

Job Overview:
As a Stepdown RN, you’ll work 3x12-hour night shifts (starting at 6:30 pm) with a strong patient ratio of 1:3-4, caring for post-heart procedures, cardiac patients, CVA, sepsis, and more. You'll also have the opportunity to float between Deaconess Midtown, Newburgh (IN), and Henderson (KY) campuses as needed, with 2-hour notice for any cross-campus float.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor patients with cardiac conditions, post-heart cath care, and critical interventions.
• Handle advanced skills such as EKG interpretation, initiating/titrating drips, and performing neuro assessments.
• Provide care to patients with sepsis, respiratory distress, and other complex conditions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
• Ensure accurate and thorough documentation using EPIC.

Unit Information:

• Unit Size: 22 beds
• Staff Ratio: 1:3-4 patients per nurse
• Manager: 10+ years in the role, leading an experienced and high-retention team
• Scrub Colors: Navy blue scrubs

Requirements:

• Certifications: Active compact RN license, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS (must be submitted with application).
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years RN experience, 1 full year of stepdown experience, 1 travel assignment, and Level II Trauma experience required.
• Tele Test: Must pass a tele test for EKG interpretation.
• Charting: Recent EPIC experience required.

Additional Info:

• Float Requirement: First to float within skillset between Deaconess campuses (8-11 miles apart). Mid-shift float is possible but rare.
• Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Three weekends out of every six-week schedule and every other holiday.
• On Call: Not required.
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours (48 hours upon request).
• Covid-19 Vaccine: Not required (subject to change).
