Job Description:
Soliant is seeking dedicated and passionate Special Education (SPED) Teachers to join our team for the upcoming school year. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
- Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
- Assess students’ skills and determine their educational needs.
- Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and parents to ensure students’ success.
- Monitor students' progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the academic and social development of all students.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid teaching license with a Special Education endorsement.
- Experience working with students with special needs.
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Special Education.
- Experience with a diverse student population.
- Knowledge of current trends and best practices in special education.
- Proficiency in assistive technology and adaptive tools for students with disabilities.
