Special Education Teacher

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. This position involves working with high school and middle school students with diverse learning needs, specifically focusing on learning disabilities and moderate intellectual disabilities.

Available Caseloads:

• High School Students (Grades 9-12): Learning Disabilities Caseload
• Middle School Students (Grades 6-8): Moderately Intellectually Disabled Caseload

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
• Provide specialized instruction and support in academic and social skills.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt curriculum and teaching strategies.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional methods as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student performance and IEP compliance.

Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
• Experience working with high school and/or middle school students with learning disabilities and intellectual disabilities preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
