Special Education Teacher

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to supporting students with diverse needs through the creation and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and positive behavior support plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• IEP Development: Create and implement comprehensive IEPs tailored to meet the individual needs of students.

• Behavior Support: Execute positive behavior support plans to promote a positive learning environment.

• Data Collection: Collect and analyze behavioral and academic data to monitor student progress and inform instructional strategies.

• Paperwork Management: Complete all required documentation and paperwork in a timely manner to ensure compliance with regulations.

• Supervision: Oversee and support educational technicians in their roles to ensure effective implementation of support strategies.

• Collaboration: Work closely with classroom teachers to develop and adapt curriculum that meets the diverse needs of students.

• Specialized Instruction: Provide specially designed instruction to students in the core curriculum when needed.

Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
• Certified in Safety Care.
• Experience working with students with disabilities is preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to adapt instruction and strategies to meet the needs of all learners.
