Job Title: K-3 Special Education Teacher – ASD Support

Hours: Full-Time, 30 hours/week, Monday-Friday
Job Description:
Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate K-3 Special Education Teacher to join a school in Watertown, MA, providing support for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and moderate disabilities. This full-time position (30 hours/week) offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with young learners, helping them reach their full potential in a structured, supportive classroom environment.
The ideal candidate will have an active Special Education teaching license in Massachusetts and be certified in Moderate Disabilities for grades K-3. You will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), working collaboratively with the educational team, and ensuring that each child receives the support they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IEPs for students with ASD and moderate disabilities.
- Provide individualized instruction in a K-3 classroom environment, focusing on both academic and social development.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, and behavior specialists to meet each student’s unique needs.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and goals.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as necessary to ensure success.
- Create and maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that supports all students.
- Implement behavior management strategies to encourage positive behavior and emotional growth.
Qualifications:
- Active Special Education Teaching License in Massachusetts.
- Certification in Moderate Disabilities for grades K-3 (Required).
- Experience working with students with ASD and moderate disabilities (Preferred).
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment.
- Available to start ASAP and work through June 25th, 2025.
