Job Title: K-3 Special Education Teacher – ASD Support
Location: Waltham, MA
Start Date: ASAP – June 25th, 2025
Hours: Full-Time, 30 hours/week, Monday-Friday

Job Description:

Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated K-3 Special Education Teacher for an ASD Support classroom in Waltham, MA. This full-time position (30 hours/week) offers the opportunity to work with young learners on the Autism Spectrum and moderate disabilities, supporting their academic, social, and emotional growth in a structured, nurturing environment.

The ideal candidate will hold an active Special Education teaching license in Massachusetts and certification in Moderate Disabilities for grades K-3. You will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and providing tailored support to ensure each child’s success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement IEPs for students with ASD and moderate disabilities.
  • Provide individualized instruction and support in a K-3 classroom setting.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, behavior specialists, and other team members to meet the needs of each student.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and challenges.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies to support success.
  • Create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes both academic achievement and social development.
  • Implement behavioral support strategies to encourage positive behaviors and emotional growth.

Qualifications:

  • Active Special Education Teaching License in Massachusetts.
  • Certification in Moderate Disabilities for grades K-3 (Required).
  • Experience working with students with ASD and moderate disabilities (Preferred).
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
  • Available to start ASAP and work through June 25th, 2025.
