Special Education (SPED) Teacher 2024/2025 School Year

Location: Marion, NY

Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate Special Education (SPED) Teacher for the 2024/2025 school year in Marion, NY. The SPED Teacher will provide individualized instruction and support to students with special needs, helping them reach their academic and personal goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs).
• Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to support student success.
• Monitor and document student progress, making adjustments to IEPs as needed.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field
• Valid New York state teaching license with Special Education certification
• Experience working with students with special needs preferred
• Strong knowledge of special education laws and best practices
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
