Job Title: Special Education Teacher – Kindergarten & First Grade Autistic Support Classrooms
Location: Pennside, PA
Start Date: ASAP until June 10th, 2025

Job Description:

Soliant Education is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher for Kindergarten and First Grade Autistic Support classrooms in Pennside, PA. This is a wonderful opportunity to work with young students on the autism spectrum, helping them thrive academically and socially in a supportive and structured learning environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in special education and be skilled in creating individualized learning plans that meet the unique needs of each child.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s specific needs.
  • Provide direct, specialized instruction to students within an autism support classroom.
  • Foster a positive, structured classroom environment that promotes both academic achievement and social-emotional growth.
  • Collaborate with other educators, special education assistants, and behavioral specialists to provide comprehensive support.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents and caregivers to share progress and address any concerns.
  • Adapt lesson plans and teaching materials to meet the diverse learning styles of students.
  • Track and assess student progress, adjusting teaching methods as needed to ensure success.
  • Provide behavioral support and ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or a related field (Required).
  • Experience working with young children, particularly in special education or autism support (Preferred).
  • Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and experience applying evidence-based teaching strategies.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to creating an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment.
  • Available to start immediately and work through June 10th, 2025.
