Special Education Teacher Opportunity Mendota Heights, Minnesota

Soliant is seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher for a contracted position in the Mendota Heights, Minnesota area. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to support students in achieving their full potential while working in a collaborative and supportive school environment.

Pay Range: $35 - $45/hour (negotiable based on experience and interview performance)

Position Details:

• Start Date: ASAP
• Contract Duration: Full year
• Schedule: Full-time (37.5 hours/week)
• Caseload: Grades K-8

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to the specific needs of each student.
• Provide direct instruction in reading interventions and other academic areas as specified in student IEPs.
• Conduct assessments to identify student needs and measure progress toward educational goals.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusion and co-teaching strategies.
• Monitor student performance and adjust teaching methods to ensure academic and behavioral growth.
• Facilitate due process procedures, including data collection, progress reporting, and IEP meetings.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Actively communicate with parents and guardians to foster a supportive home-school partnership.

Qualifications:

• Active Minnesota State Special Education Certification
• Previous experience in a school setting is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of special education laws and practices, including due process requirements.
