Work Schedule: 35 hours weekly, through remainder of the school year (6/11/25)

Soliant Education is seeking dedicated and passionate Special Education Teachers for two onsite positions in San Marcos, CA. We are hiring for both Mild/Moderate and Moderate/Severe positions to work with elementary school students. These are full-time, contract positions for the 2024-2025 school year, with the opportunity to extend into the future.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities, ensuring individualized education plans (IEPs) are followed.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and other staff to create inclusive and supportive learning environments.
  • Develop and implement effective behavior management strategies.
  • Monitor student progress and modify instructional strategies as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records, including IEP documentation.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and work closely with parents/guardians to ensure students' academic and emotional needs are met.
  • Work with students in a variety of settings, including classroom instruction, pull-out services, and one-on-one support.
  • Support students with varying needs in both academic and social-emotional development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field.
  • Valid California Special Education Teaching Credential for Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe disabilities.
  • Strong understanding of special education law, IEPs, and inclusive education practices.
  • Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to making a difference in students' lives.
