Special Education Teacher Opening

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team near Highpoint, North Carolina! This is a part-time position in an inclusion classroom setting, supporting students in grades 6-12.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and small-group instruction to meet the needs of students with special education requirements.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to modify curriculum and ensure accommodations are implemented.
• Develop and monitor IEP goals and objectives in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Support students' academic, social, and emotional growth within the inclusion setting.
• Communicate regularly with families and other team members to track and report progress.

Qualifications:

• Active North Carolina teaching license with a Special Education endorsement.
• Experience working with middle and high school students in an inclusion classroom setting.
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Interview Process:
10-15 minute screening call with a Soliant Education  Recruiter
20-30 minute Virtual Interview with the School District
