Required Degrees and Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field; valid state certification as a Special Education Teacher

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to meet students’ unique needs.
• Modify curriculum and teaching strategies to support various learning abilities.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and school staff to ensure student progress.
• Provide direct instruction, interventions, and support to students with special needs.
• Monitor and assess student performance, making necessary adjustments to teaching methods.
• Foster an inclusive and encouraging classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field required.
• Valid Texas certification as a Special Education Teacher.
• Previous experience in a special education setting is preferred.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
