Special Education Teacher - Northfield, IN

Soliant Education is currently hiring a full-time Special Education Teacher in the Northfield, IN area for the 2024-2025 School Year. This position provides a fantastic opportunity to work with a small group of 6-8 students, all of whom have some degree of hearing loss and use hearing aids. The classroom is supported by instructional assistants to ensure students receive the necessary support for success.

Position: Special Education Teacher
Caseload: Classroom of 6-8 students with hearing loss

Responsibilities:
• Provide specialized instruction tailored to the needs of students with hearing loss.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student.
• Collaborate with instructional assistants, general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to foster student growth.
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate with parents/guardians regularly.

Requirements:
• Active Indiana State teaching license with appropriate endorsements (Special Education or related endorsements)
• Experience or specialization in working with students who have hearing loss is preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations
