Special education teacher needed

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team near Walnut Creek, California. This part-time, direct-hire position is ideal for a professional who thrives on making a positive impact on students with mild to moderate disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
• Participate actively in IEP meetings, collaborating with team members and parents.
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed to achieve academic and developmental goals.
• Provide specialized instruction in alignment with students' IEPs and learning objectives.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and success.

Qualifications:

• Valid California Special Education Teaching Credential (Mild/Moderate).
• Experience working with students with mild to moderate disabilities.
• Strong understanding of the IEP process and ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Interview Process:
10-15 minute screening call with a Soliant Education  Recruiter
20-30 minute Virtual Interview with the School District
