Special Education Teacher needed near Yorktown, Arkansas

Position #1: Resource Room – 9th Grade
We are looking for a passionate Special Education Teacher to support our 9th-grade students in the resource room. In this role, you'll work with students who require academic assistance, providing individualized instruction and targeted interventions. You’ll collaborate with general education teachers to ensure students are fully supported and able to reach their full potential.

Position #2: Self-Contained Classroom – 8th Grade
We are also hiring a Special Education Teacher for our self-contained classroom of 8th graders. With a caseload of 13 students and one para, you will work closely with students who need more intensive support. Your role will focus on creating a structured, nurturing environment where students can develop academic, social, and life skills. You’ll create tailored lesson plans and provide one-on-one support to ensure each student thrives.

Key Responsibilities (Both Positions):

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Deliver differentiated instruction to meet students' diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, general education teachers, and families to support student success.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture that promotes student growth and independence.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Certification.
• Experience working with students with diverse learning needs.
• Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
