Special Education Teacher Needed in Georgia
Location: Remote
Position Type: Hourly, Contracted
Pay: $28-$38 per hour
Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Special Education Teacher with a master’s degree or higher for a remote position. This role involves providing direct and indirect educational support to high school students with special needs, helping them achieve their academic and personal goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver remote instruction and support tailored to the needs of high school students with special education requirements.
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) to address students' specific needs and goals.
- Provide instruction across various subjects, adapting teaching methods and materials to accommodate students' learning styles and needs.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other school staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Monitor and evaluate students' progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
- Utilize teletherapy platforms effectively to conduct lessons and engage with students.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, IEP documentation, and other relevant data.
- Provide guidance and strategies to parents and teachers to support students' academic and personal development.
- Participate in professional development and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in special education.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid Special Education certification or license.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching high school students with special education needs is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of high school educational processes, IEP development, and best practices in special education.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional home office environment.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
