Position: Special Education Teacher
Location: Near Richmond, IL
Hourly Rate: Up to $35/hour (based on experience and certifications)
Required Degrees and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Current Illinois teaching certification/licensure in Special Education.
About the Role:
As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a key role in developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to address students' unique learning needs. Working closely with other educators, families, and specialists, you will foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s goals and needs.
- Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to ensure accessibility and engagement for all students.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as necessary to meet learning objectives.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, therapists, and families to ensure student success.
- Provide a nurturing and supportive classroom environment that promotes academic, social, and emotional growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Current Illinois certification/licensure in Special Education.
- Prior experience working with students with disabilities is preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Pay and Compensation:
