Special Education Teacher - Near Lake Angelus, MI

Requirements:

• Certification: Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) (required)
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (required); associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred)
• Experience: Previous experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities is preferred

A school near Lake Angelus, MI is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join their team. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with students, helping them develop essential life skills and improve their academic and social success.

Position Details:

• Location: Near Lake Angelus, MI
• Job Type: school-based position
• Hourly Rate: Up to $30 per hour, based on experience
• Schedule: TBD, during school hours

Responsibilities:

• Work under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
• Provide direct one-on-one support to students with developmental disabilities
• Collect and track data on student progress and behavior
• Assist with classroom activities to promote positive behaviors and academic success
• Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure student progress

Qualifications:

• Current RBT certification through BACB (required)
• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Experience working with children with developmental disabilities (preferred)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to each student's unique needs
