Required Degrees and Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field; valid state certification as a Special Education Teacher

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to the needs of students.
• Modify curriculum and teaching methods to support diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other staff to ensure student success.
• Provide direct instruction and interventions to students with special needs.
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies and methods as needed.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages growth and success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field required.
• Valid Texas certification as a Special Education Teacher.
• Previous experience in a special education setting is preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
