Special Education Teacher in Eugene, OR - Remote Position - Masters Required - Start Fall 2024

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our collaborative team in Eugene, Oregon. This remote position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working from home.

Position Overview:
Join our dedicated team of educators in providing exceptional special education services to students in grades K-12. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to inclusive education and individualized learning approaches.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure appropriate accommodations and modifications
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress and performance
- Conduct regular assessments and progress monitoring
- Facilitate virtual meetings with parents, staff, and other stakeholders
- Provide specialized instruction through remote learning platforms
- Guide and support educational assistants in implementing student programs

Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid Oregon teaching license with Special Education endorsement
- Minimum 2 years of school-based teaching experience
- Proficiency in using educational technology and virtual learning platforms
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with IEP development and implementation

Additional Skills:
- Knowledge of evidence-based instructional practices for students with disabilities
- Experience with virtual learning environments and remote instruction
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Proficiency in using educational technology and learning management systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Schedule:
- Full-time, Monday-Friday
- Regular school calendar year
