Job Title: Special Education Teacher – Kindergarten & First Grade Autistic Support Classrooms
Location: Hyde Park, PA
Start Date: ASAP until June 10th, 2025

Job Description:

Soliant Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher for Kindergarten and First Grade Autistic Support classrooms in Hyde Park, PA. This is a wonderful opportunity to provide support to young learners with autism, helping them grow academically and socially in a nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will be skilled in developing individualized strategies and fostering a classroom atmosphere that encourages learning and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students based on their unique needs.
• Provide direct instruction and support to students in an autism-focused classroom setting.
• Create a positive, structured classroom environment that promotes both academic and social development.
• Collaborate with other educators, special education assistants, and behavior specialists to ensure comprehensive student support.
• Maintain effective communication with parents, caregivers, and staff to track student progress and address concerns.
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary.
• Provide behavioral support and ensure a safe, inclusive classroom for all students.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or a related field (Required).
• Experience working with young children, particularly in special education or autism support (Preferred).
• Strong understanding of autism spectrum disorders and experience implementing evidence-based teaching strategies.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Compassionate, patient, and committed to fostering a positive learning environment.
• Available to start immediately and work through June 10th, 2025.
