Job Posting: Special Education Teacher - Elementary

Position: Full-Time Special Education Teacher (Onsite)

Contract Duration: ASAP - June 18, 2025

Hours: 37.5 Hours per week (Minimum)

Pay Rate: $44 - $49 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Provide direct instruction and support to students with varying disabilities in an elementary school setting.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and school staff to ensure effective support and integration of students.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods and strategies as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records and documentation.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and review of student goals.
• Provide a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate with Special Education endorsement.
• Previous experience working with elementary-aged students with special needs preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and school staff.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail.
