Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students’ needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to facilitate inclusive education.
• Monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods as necessary.
• Engage with families to foster communication and involvement in the educational process.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation as required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field.
• Valid Illinois Special Education Teacher certification (Active New Illinois Teaching License/Certification is a MUST to be considered).
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Experience with diverse learning needs and behavioral strategies is a plus.
