Soliant is seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in the Arden, NC area for the 2024-25 school year. This is a full-time, onsite position, and the district has openings available in a 5th and 6th grade setting. Full benefits, weekly pay, and guaranteed hours are offered with this position. Job Details:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student success
- Provide instruction in an inclusion classroom setting, in addition to pull-out services as needed
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs
- Create lesson plans according to relevant local and state curriculum standards
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field
- Valid North Carolina Special Education License required, mild-moderate credential preferred
- Experience in an inclusion/co-taught classroom preferred
- Must be proficient in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) writing and lesson planning
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Commitment to meeting the unique needs of students with disabilities
