Soliant is seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in the Arden, NC area for the 2024-25 school year. This is a full-time, onsite position, and the district has openings available in a 5th and 6th grade setting. Job Details:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student success
  • Provide instruction in an inclusion classroom setting, in addition to pull-out services as needed 
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs
  • Create lesson plans according to relevant local and state curriculum standards 
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field
  • Valid North Carolina Special Education License required, mild-moderate credential preferred
  • Experience in an inclusion/co-taught classroom preferred 
  • Must be proficient in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) writing and lesson planning 
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Commitment to meeting the unique needs of students with disabilities
