Job Title: Teacher for the Visually Impaired
Location: Nevada (Remote)
Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Remote Teacher for the Visually Impaired to provide specialized education to students with visual impairments in Nevada. In this role, you will develop and deliver individualized lessons focusing on academic subjects, braille, orientation and mobility, and independent living skills through virtual platforms. The ideal candidate will be experienced in working with visually impaired students and comfortable using remote teaching tools and assistive technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with visual impairments.
- Deliver remote lessons in core subjects, braille, and life skills, utilizing assistive technologies.
- Collaborate with parents, school staff, and other professionals to monitor student progress.
- Adapt instructional materials and resources to meet students’ needs.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide regular feedback.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Visual Impairments, or a related field.
- Active Nevada teaching license.
- Experience working with students with visual impairments.
- Proficiency with remote teaching tools and assistive technologies (e.g., braille displays, screen readers).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
