Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) for a full-time, onsite position in the Springfield, OR area for the 2024–2025 school year. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students ranging from kindergarten through age 21 (transition program) across multiple school sites within the district.

Position Details:

• Caseload: Approximately 45 students

• Age Range: Kindergarten – 21 years (including transition program)

• Support Needs: Students may have high emotional, behavioral, and medical needs

• Travel: Must be willing to travel between school locations within the district

• Start Date: September 3, 2025

• End Date: June 12, 2026

• Interview Timeline: Interviews begin the week of May 5, 2025

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments

• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and school staff

• Travel between assigned school sites to deliver services

• Adapt curriculum and materials into accessible formats

• Conduct assessments and track student progress

Requirements:

• Must hold or be eligible for Oregon licensure as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired

• Prior experience with high-needs populations (emotional, behavioral, medical) preferred

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Comfortable working independently and across multiple locations
