Position Overview:

Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated Teacher for the Visually Impaired for the 2025-2026 school year in the Lewistown, PA area. This itinerant position will involve traveling across multiple counties, providing services to a caseload of 20 to 30 students ranging from Preschool Early Intervention to 12th grade. The role offers flexibility with some or all of the work potentially being done virtually. If the position is fully virtual, it would be a 1099 independent contracting role with no benefit or stipends. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments (Preschool Early Intervention – 12th grade).
• Conduct individualized sessions ranging from 30 to 75 minutes.
• Work across various counties within the district.
• Collaborate with families, staff, and other educators to develop and implement educational plans.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress.

Requirements:

• Educator Credential: Visually Impaired (K-12) required.
• Must have the ability to work across multiple school sites (itinerant).
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with staff, students, and families.
• Mileage reimbursement and travel stipends (non-taxable) will be provided due to travel across districts.
