VocoVision is seeking a skilled Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) to work with students across the state of Georgia at a school district remotely through our innovative teletherapy platform. Job Responsibilities
- Provide tailored instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing in a virtual classroom environment
- Adapt lesson plans to meet individual IEP goals and student learning needs
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and support teams to ensure the success of each student
- Offer guidance on the use of hearing devices such as hearing aids and cochlear implants
- Track and report on student progress through regular assessments and feedback
Job Details
- Contract: 1099 independent contractor (self-employed)
- Work Hours: Flexible, aligned with school hours and student schedules
- Location: Fully remote; work from anywhere with reliable internet
- Compensation: Competitive hourly rate, based on experience and qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education or a related field
- Active state certification as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
- Experience in school settings, with a focus on working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Familiarity with assistive technology and hearing devices
- Strong communication skills and comfort using online teaching platforms
- Reliable internet connection and computer with video conferencing capabilities
