South Carolina Schools - Remote Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teachers

Soliant is partnering with schools in South Carolina tto schedule interviews for a fully remote Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher. All of our remote contracts are 1099, meaning you’ll have flexibility in your personal schedule and finances to provide remote services. Position Details

• Contract: 1099 independent contracting structure
• Hours: Full-time hours (35-40 hours), including indirect time
• Platform: We work with Zoom Plus application (HIPAA/FERPA compliant)
• Rate: $34-40/hour, including indirect time, depending on experience

Start and End Dates: ASAP to End of School Year
* We can also look for opportunities for '25-'26 as well!

School Hours: 7:30 to 3:30 PM district time

Requirements

• Degree: Master's Degree in Deaf Education or Special Education
• Certification: South Carolina state Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher certification
• Experience: Past deaf and hard of hearing teaching experience in a school setting, with remote experience preferred
• Set Up: Home computer with camera and microphone functions with strong internet connection

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for deaf and hard-of-hearing students
• Provide virtual specialized instruction tailored to each student's IEP
• Conduct virtual assessments to monitor student progress
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of student progress, interventions, and IEP goals
• Participate and facilitate in virtual IEP meetings
