Toledo OH Virtual Special Education Teacher - Middle School Multi-Categorical Support

VocoVision is expanding our team of virtual special educators serving students in Toledo, Ohio. We provide remote special education services that bridge the gap between student needs and educator expertise, creating meaningful learning experiences in a virtual environment.
Position Details

• Full-time position (35-37.5 hours weekly)
• Middle school focus (grades 6-8)
• Multi-categorical support for students with various exceptionalities
• Caseload typically ranges from 40-50 students
• Combination of push-in virtual support and small group instruction

Core Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the IEP process for assigned students
• Design and deliver specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals
• Implement appropriate accommodations and modifications for virtual learning
• Monitor student progress using data-driven assessment strategies
• Coordinate with classroom teachers to support inclusive practices
• Facilitate virtual parent-teacher conferences and IEP meetings
• Provide behavioral support and interventions as needed
• Maintain comprehensive student records and documentation

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Special Education
• Valid Ohio special education teaching license
• Minimum 2 years of school-based experience
• Experience with virtual instruction preferred but not required
• Proficiency in using educational technology and virtual learning platforms
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices for students with disabilities
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Excellent virtual communication abilities

Technical Requirements

• Dedicated home office space for confidential virtual instruction
• Computer with camera and audio capabilities
• Stable high-speed internet connection
• Familiarity with virtual meeting platforms
• Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues
