Special Education Teacher

A school district near Fayetteville, North Carolina is seeking a licensed Special Education Teacher for the 2024-2025 academic year. The ideal candidate will have experience working with middle school students and be passionate about providing high-quality instruction to students with diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities
• Provide direct instruction and support to students with disabilities in a variety of settings
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and parents to support student success
• Monitor and report on student progress towards IEP goals
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and services provided
• Participate in professional development opportunities to improve teaching practice

Qualifications:

• Must be licensed in North Carolina in Special Education
• Experience working with students with disabilities
• Familiarity with evidence-based instructional practices and strategies for students with disabilities
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
