Job Posting: Elementary Emotional Support Special Education Teacher – Onsite | Ephrata, PA Area
Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated Elementary Emotional Support Special Education Teacher to join a supportive school community in the Ephrata, PA area for a current school year opening. We are also accepting applications for candidates interested in the 2025–2026 school year.
This is a full-time, onsite contract position in an Emotional Support classroom, with a manageable caseload and strong administrative support. The district employs a dedicated IEP writer for most classrooms, allowing the teacher to focus primarily on instruction, behavior support, and collaboration.
Position Details:

Location: Ephrata, PA area
-
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:15 AM – 3:45 PM (37.5 hours per week)

Caseload: Up to 12 students
-
2–4 students are full-time
-
Others will receive support as needed throughout the day
-
IEP Writing: Limited – IEP writer will handle most documentation
-
Teacher responsible for providing data and progress monitoring

Planning & Breaks: One planning period and a 30-minute duty-free lunch each day

Pay Rate: $33–$55 per hour

Based on experience, degree level, and other factors
-
Estimated annual pay, (calculated assuming 37.5 hours worked across 36-week school year): $45,000–$75,000
Responsibilities:
-
Deliver instruction and emotional/behavioral support within an Emotional Support setting
-
Create and maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
-
Provide data and student performance updates to the IEP writer
-
Collaborate with school counselors, psychologists, and general education staff
-
Support transitions of students in and out of the classroom throughout the day
-
Communicate with families and support staff regarding student needs and progress
Requirements:

Valid Pennsylvania Special Education Certification (PreK-8 or K-12)

Emergency certificates will not be accepted

Experience with Emotional Support students preferred

Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
