K-12 Special Education Instructor - Virtual Learning Specialist - Covington KY

VocoVision is seeking an experienced Special Education Instructor to provide virtual support services to K-12 students in Covington, Kentucky. Join our team of remote educators who make a difference in students' lives through innovative virtual instruction and support.
Position Details

• 37.5 hours per week schedule
• Mixed K-12 caseload with emphasis on transition services
• Supporting approximately 50-60 students across multiple grade levels
• Focus on academic intervention and executive functioning skills
• Virtual pull-out sessions and consultative support

Core Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual assessments to determine present levels of performance
• Develop comprehensive IEPs based on student needs and goals
• Create and implement specially designed instruction for virtual delivery
• Coordinate with general education teachers on appropriate accommodations
• Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals
• Facilitate virtual IEP meetings with educational teams and families
• Provide guidance on assistive technology and accessibility tools
• Maintain compliance with all special education timelines and procedures

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Special Education
• Active Kentucky special education teaching license
• Minimum 2 years of experience in school-based special education
• Knowledge of Kentucky educational standards and IEP requirements
• Experience with virtual instruction platforms preferred
• Proficiency with educational technology and digital resources
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

• Dedicated workspace for confidential virtual sessions
• Reliable computer with webcam and microphone
• High-speed internet connection (minimum 30 Mbps)
• Ability to navigate learning management systems
• Comfort with various digital assessment and instructional tools
