Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) – School-Based Contract – Shreveport, LA

Job Details:

  • Location: Shreveport, LA
  • Position Type: Contract, School-Based
  • Start Date: ASAP (or based on availability)
  • Schedule: Full-Time
  • Caseload: K-12 students (assigned based on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing speech and language treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP).
  • Provide direct therapy services to students with communication disorders.
  • Maintain accurate records and track student progress.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SLPs, and other school staff to ensure students’ needs are met.
  • Assist with speech assessments and screenings as needed.

Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting (SLPA).
  • Louisiana State SLPA licensure
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is a plus but not required.

State-Specific Requirements:

  • Louisiana State SLPA License
  • Background check required as per state regulations.
