Title: Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)

** United States Work Authorization is Required without VISA Sponsorship**

Responsibilities:

• Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
• Perform therapy-based services to students that will improve their speech, language, and communication skills.
• Documentation of evaluations, daily progression updates, and discharge summaries.
• Collaboration with administrators and the therapy team of SLPs, OTs, and PTs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (IEPs) for students based on their specific needs.
• Promote the overall safety, health, and well-being of all students located within the facility.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records in compliance with federal and state regulations.

Position Details:

• Type: Full-Time (37.50 hours per week) – Guaranteed paid hours
• Term: Immediate – June 2024 (with the ability to renew for ESY and another full schoolyear)
• Compensation: Based on experience, highly competitive hourly rate

• Caseload: Multiple ages (K-12) across the district – Based on preference

Education and Licensing Requirements:

• Active – State of California – SLPA Licensure
• Previous experience working as an SLPA in a school setting is preferable.
• Hold a master’s degree in communication sciences & disorders or a related field.
