Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current NY state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working with children, preferably in an academic setting
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of IEP processes and educational laws
Location:
Schenectady, NY
Responsibilities:
- Assess students and develop individualized therapy plans tailored to their speech and language needs
- Provide direct therapy services and ensure their alignment with educational goals
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement necessary accommodations and modifications
- Track student progress and make adjustments to therapy plans as required
- Actively participate in IEP meetings, contributing to goal setting and overall student development
- Offer consultation and resources to parents and caregivers regarding speech and language development
