Job Overview:
A fantastic opportunity has opened up for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in a full-time, school-based role near Oceanside, CA. This position involves working with K-6 students to help them develop effective communication skills and overcome speech and language difficulties. You’ll be part of a collaborative team, working alongside educators and parents to help students achieve success in their academic and personal development.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations to identify students’ speech and language challenges, and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Provide therapy sessions tailored to individual student needs, with a focus on speech, language, fluency, and social communication.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families to integrate speech therapy strategies into the school environment.
- Participate in IEP meetings, sharing insights and updates on students' progress toward their speech and language goals.
- Maintain thorough records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and school staff.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- California SLP licensure (or eligibility for licensure).
- Experience working with K-6 students is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of school-based therapy processes and IEPs.
- Ability to manage a full caseload of students while providing effective support.
