Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Los Alamos, New Mexico

This role is focused on providing essential communication support to elementary school students, fostering their developmental needs through tailored speech and language services.

Qualifications:

• Valid New Mexico state license (NMRLD) and NMPED certification by start date; NMPED may be in pending status.
• CCC-SLP or CFY-SLP
• Experience or background in pediatric speech-language pathology, particularly in school settings.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families.
• Ability to manage reasonable caseloads with a focus on individual student needs.

Location:

• Los Alamos, New Mexico

Responsibilities:

• Assess and diagnose speech and language disorders in students, developing appropriate intervention plans.
• Provide direct therapy services and monitor student progress through effective data collection and analysis.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students.
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and maintain accurate documentation of services provided.
• Discuss caseload age preferences during the interview process and tailor services accordingly.
