An opportunity is available for a skilled professional to contribute to an engaging educational environment in lovely Los Alamos, NM. This role is focused on providing essential communication support to elementary school students, fostering their developmental needs through tailored speech and language services.

Qualifications:

  • Valid New Mexico state license (NMRLD) and NMPED certification by start date; NMPED may be in pending status.
  • CCC-SLP or CFY-SLP
  • Experience or background in pediatric speech-language pathology, particularly in school settings.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families.
  • Ability to manage reasonable caseloads with a focus on individual student needs.

Location:

  • Los Alamos, New Mexico

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and diagnose speech and language disorders in students, developing appropriate intervention plans.
  • Provide direct therapy services and monitor student progress through effective data collection and analysis.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and maintain accurate documentation of services provided.
  • Discuss caseload age preferences during the interview process and tailor services accordingly.
