School Speech-Language Pathologist (25-26), La Quinta, CA

Calling on Speech-Language Pathologists based in La Quinta, CA, who want to support children in their communications development! Soliant has partnered with a local school district and is seeking a full-time contract Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming school year. 

Requirements:

• ASHA-Certified candidates preferred
• Candidates must be eligible for a Speech and Language credential from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing
• Prior schools experience strongly preferred

Pay and Benefits:

• Hourly W2 pay of $55 to $110/hr, dependent on experience

• Paid sick leave, accrued at the rate of 1 hour for every 30 hours worked

• Materials and/or CEU reimbursements of $150 every 13 weeks

As a Speech-Language Pathologist in an education setting, clinicians will:

• Conduct both informal and standardized assessments to determine students' level of speech therapy needs
• Updating progress reports to ensure that students are moving towards their IEP goals
• Write reports based on evaluation results, in accordance with state and federal mandates
• Develop IEP goals in collaboration with District staff and families
• Present evaluation reports and IEP goals at meetings
• In some cases, SLPs may be called upon to supervise Clinical Fellows, student interns (at both the graduate and undergraduate level), and SLPAs
