Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate School Nurse to join our team in Albuquerque, NM. In this full-time, on-site role, you will provide essential healthcare services to students, ensuring their health and safety while fostering a healthy and supportive school environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Administer first aid and emergency care to students and staff as required.

• Provide medications and treatments according to physician orders and district protocols.

• Monitor students with chronic medical conditions and ensure proper accommodations.

• Perform health screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis, etc.) and follow up on referrals.

• Maintain detailed health records, including immunizations and medical histories.

• Collaborate with school staff to create health plans for students with special medical needs.

• Educate students and staff on various health-related topics, including prevention and wellness.

• Work with parents and healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care for students.

• Assist in creating emergency response plans and contribute to crisis management.

• Ensure compliance with state health laws and district policies.

Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico.

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

• Experience working in a school or pediatric healthcare setting is preferred.

• CPR and First Aid certification required.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with children with chronic health conditions.

• Familiarity with school health screenings and state health regulations.

• Organizational and time-management skills.
