Physical Therapist with Strong Assistive Technology Skills needed near Sugar Land, Texas

We are seeking a highly motivated Physical Therapist - PT with strong Assistive Technology - AT skills to join our esteemed team at a school district in the Houston, TX area.

As an Assistive Technology Specialist, you will collaborate with other staff members to assess, implement, and optimize assistive technologies that enhance the functional independence of students. This is a full-time position that offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of individuals with diverse abilities.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with staff members to identify students who would benefit from assistive technology interventions.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' functional abilities, limitations, and goals to determine appropriate assistive technology solutions.
• Research, evaluate, and recommend assistive technology devices, tools, and adaptations to address patients' specific needs and goals.

Qualifications:

• In-depth knowledge of a wide range of assistive technology devices, adaptations, and software used in occupational therapy.
