In an educational setting focused on fostering the development of K-12 students, an opportunity exists for an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. This role is designed for a part-time position, requiring 30 hours of work per week, within a supportive environment that prioritizes student well-being and growth.

Responsibilities:
- Facilitate students' participation in classroom activities by addressing fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, and self-care skills.
- Modify tasks and environments as needed to support individual student needs.
- Conduct diagnostic and evaluation testing to assess student progress and requirements.
- Prepare and deliver insightful reports based on assessments and observations.
- Develop and maintain IEP objectives and accommodations in collaboration with educational staff.
- Communicate effectively with parents and peers regarding students’ developmental progress and support strategies.
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois state license or eligibility to obtain one.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Flexibility and problem-solving abilities in a team environment.
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with resource and life skills classes, is preferred.
