A school district in Fairfield County is seeking a Full-Time Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide essential support to students, helping them develop motor, sensory, and functional skills necessary for academic success.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations of students' fine motor, sensory processing, and functional needs
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in collaboration with educators and families
  • Provide direct and consultative therapy services based on students’ IEPs
  • Utilize evidence-based interventions to improve students’ participation in school activities
  • Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and documentation
  • Participate in IEP meetings and work closely with a multidisciplinary team

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Valid Connecticut OT license (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Experience working in a school setting preferred
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to tailor therapy techniques to a diverse student population
