About the Role
We’re seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) near Des Moines, WA, who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of students. Join our team to provide essential motor and sensory support to elementary and intermediate students with a modest caseload. You’ll collaborate with educators and support staff to create tailored interventions that enhance each student’s ability to participate and thrive in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and create individualized support plans to address motor, sensory, and other developmental needs.
- Provide direct therapy services in a school-based setting, targeting specific sensory and motor goals.
- Collaborate with school teams, including teachers and other therapists, to create a supportive, inclusive learning environment.
- Document student progress, modify interventions as necessary, and maintain open communication with families and staff.
Qualifications
- Washington state OT licensure.
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Experience in school-based settings preferred, but not required. New grads welcomed to apply.
- Proficiency in working with motor and sensory needs for students in elementary and intermediate grades.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with school teams.
