Position: (ELA) English-Language Arts Teacher

We are currently accepting applications for the following two positions:

• Elementary English-Language Arts (ELA) Teacher
• Middle School English-Language Arts (ELA) Teacher

Role Tasks:

• Develop lessons from district approved curriculum that engage students and help them to understand the core concepts and achieve competencies in English-language arts.
• Conduct student-teacher conferences that discuss student performance, areas of improvement, and suggestions for increasing their grade average.
• Present ELA subject matter to students in a variety of ways, including the implementation of technology in the classroom.
• Maintain a classroom environment that is safe, appropriate, and productive, and that allows students to learn in a meaningful way.
• Monitor and enforce all codes of conduct and ensure that students always adhere to all administrative policies.
• Other general duties of teachers, and additional tasks that are assigned by administration.

Requirements:

• Must have an Active CDE Certification – Teachers License
• Must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Relevant experience teaching an English-Language Arts class
