Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant - Needed in Turlock, California

Soliant is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a school-based position in Turlock, CA. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Occupational Therapist (OT) in providing therapy services to students.
• Implement individualized treatment plans designed by the OT.
• Support students in developing fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and treatment sessions.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student success.
• Ensure compliance with California state regulations for school-based therapy services.

Requirements:

• Associate’s Degree in Occupational Therapy Assisting.
• Active California COTA License issued by the California Board of Occupational Therapy (CBOT).
• Certification by NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy).

Experience & Skills:

• Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of IEPs and individualized treatment plans.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.

State-Specific Requirements for California:

• Active California COTA License from the California Board of Occupational Therapy (CBOT).
• Fingerprint clearance through the California Department of Justice (DOJ) and FBI.
• Familiarity with California special education guidelines is a plus.
