School-based | Registered Behavior Technician | Rutherfordton, NC area

Are you a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) looking to make a difference in a student’s life? We’re seeking a full-time RBT to provide 1:1 support for a student in a self-contained classroom near Rutherfordton, NC. Candidates with experience in sensory regulation, academic support, and Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC) devices are highly preferred!

Position Details:

• Position Type: Full-Time (Monday–Friday)
• Caseload: 1:1 student support in a structured classroom setting
• Pay Range: $20–$26/hr (Depending on experience and qualifications)
• Location: Rutherfordton, NC area

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide personalized behavioral and academic support to a student in a self-contained environment.
• Implement sensory regulation techniques to promote focus and engagement.
• Assist with AAC devices and other communication tools to support student learning.
• Use evidence-based ABA strategies to reinforce positive behaviors.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and school staff to create a structured support system.
• Maintain detailed records of student progress and behavior.

Qualifications:

• Active RBT certification through the BACB (Required).
• Experience working with students requiring sensory and communication support (Preferred).
• Strong ability to follow behavior intervention plans and adapt strategies as needed.
• Excellent communication, patience, and teamwork skills.
