Now Hiring: Paraprofessional / Behavior Technician – Full-Time | Essex, VT

Are you passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs? Do you have experience working with ASD or behavior support? We’re looking for a dedicated Paraprofessional / Behavior Technician to provide small-group and 1:1 support for students in Essex, Vermont.

Position Details:

  • Position Type: Full-Time (Monday–Friday)
  • Caseload: Small groups & 1:1 student support
  • Pay Range: $20–$26/hr (Based on qualifications and experience)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support to students with ASD and behavioral needs in a structured school setting.
  • Implement teacher-designed behavior intervention plans and classroom strategies.
  • Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and support staff.
  • Foster social-emotional development and encourage positive behaviors.
  • Collaborate with teachers, behavior specialists, and school staff to ensure student success.
  • Support students in both academic and social settings.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with students with ASD or behavioral needs (Highly Preferred).
  • Meet at least ONE of the following criteria:
  • Completed at least 60 semester hours at an accredited college/university.
  • Hold an associate degree or higher from an accredited institution.
  • Paraprofessional certification. (Para-pro or other)
  • Registered Behavior Technician certification (BACB) 
  • Strong communication and de-escalation skills.
  • Patience, reliability, and a passion for helping students succeed.
