Are you passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs? Do you have experience working with ASD or behavior support? We’re looking for a dedicated Paraprofessional / Behavior Technician to provide small-group and 1:1 support for students in Essex, Vermont.
Position Details:
- Position Type: Full-Time (Monday–Friday)
- Caseload: Small groups & 1:1 student support
- Pay Range: $20–$26/hr (Based on qualifications and experience)
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to students with ASD and behavioral needs in a structured school setting.
- Implement teacher-designed behavior intervention plans and classroom strategies.
- Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and support staff.
- Foster social-emotional development and encourage positive behaviors.
- Collaborate with teachers, behavior specialists, and school staff to ensure student success.
- Support students in both academic and social settings.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with students with ASD or behavioral needs (Highly Preferred).
- Meet at least ONE of the following criteria:
- Completed at least 60 semester hours at an accredited college/university.
- Hold an associate degree or higher from an accredited institution.
- Paraprofessional certification. (Para-pro or other)
- Registered Behavior Technician certification (BACB)
